Projects at The Gibson House
Heres a selection of pictures of projects we have completed. They are roughly in chronological order of completion
Danielle's
bath room done in a fish theme.
Jo built most of the furniture herself with only a little help from her
Dad
Danielle's toy box, built by Calum and decorated by Jodie.
Whilst in
New Zealand the strong winds that caused so much of the bushfire problems had
also blown over our metal arch.
So we whipped this one weekend as a replacement out of some 2nd Hand stuff
Neville gave us.
Jo's first go at a feature wall in our bedroom. Personally I think my shelf sets it off nicely.
The Beginning, brickwork by Calum. This took me 2 days.
Lesson here: Bricklaying sucks and it's harder than it looks..
The end
product, complete with new BBQ after Nev (father in law) took charge.
I have discovered my skills lie in project management rather than construction
Lounge Wall Before
After.
Jo did the painting .I built
the 4 shelves,
one of which had a good go at killing me when it flew out of the saw and hit me
in the stomach.
Jo's Hall Bookcase
New Computer Desk/work area, a combined effort
New tiles out the front, check out the house pages for what it looked like before
Well the
pergola has finally had the ugly concrete covered with tiles (click
here for a look before) .
The design was Jodie's and Neville (with a bit of help from me) has done a most
excellent job.
Now for some decent outdoor furniture (Nev's Our next project).
